Fees and Funding

Funding

We accept all funding including 15 hours for over three's that are not eligible to the working parents funding and also 30 hours for working parents for children the term after they turn nine months old.

All 3 & 4 year olds are entitled to up to 15 hours of universal funded hours per week, regardless of eligibility to the working parents funding, following the term after their third birthday.

As funding is for term time only and we are an all year around provision, we stretch our funded hours over 51 weeks of the year.  Although we do not restrict which days funded hours can be taken, we do not offer funding in partial session blocks (e.g. 12 - 3pm or 1-3pm. Funding is applied to full-day attendance only. This is to deliver funding as it is intended and to support our working families.

For 15 universal hours of funding - this equates to 57 days of free childcare stretched over the full year.

For 30 hours of funding - this equates to 114 days of free childcare stretched over the full year.

Please note that funding is intended to deliver free childcare over termtime only and does not include consumable costs such as wet wipes, outings, extra curricular activities and food. If taken, our offering of nutritionally balanced food is chargeable, but as to not exclude any child - all other consumable or extra curricular services are  provided are at no additional cost.

Our invoices will clearly show the free hours taken and any additional hours that are paid for along with the monthly cost of food. Our fees are prorated over the year to give our families the same monthly cost each month, regardless of how many days are given in a set month. This also applies to our funding.

Our usual fees include all meals, snack and drinks provided throughout the day, ensuring children receive a balanced and nutritious diet while in our care. Fees do not include nappies or formular milk.

Meals and Snacks

Nutritious main meals are supplied by Zebedees, a specialist early years food provider, carefully designed to meet the nutritional needs of young children. Afternoon teas are freshly prepared in-house each day. Children are offered three healthy snacks daily alongside meals and fresh water is available at all times. All food provided supports healthy growth and development and is suitable for young children in line with current early years nutritional guidance.

Our Approach to Nutrition

We recognise the vital role nutrition plays in children’s physical health, concentration, emotional wellbeing, and learning. Our menus are carefully planned to reflect guidance from the DFE (Department for Education) and the EYFS statutory framework, promoting:

  • A balanced intake of essential nutrients
  • Positive eating habits from an early age
  • Exposure to a wide variety of tastes and textures
  • Healthy choices that support lifelong wellbeing

We work closely with families to accommodate dietary requirements, allergies, cultural preferences, and medical needs, ensuring every child is supported safely and inclusively.

For funded spaces – if you wish to choose to opt out of our food costs, please speak to your Nursery Manager. We have many children that have severe allergies to certain foods and it is vital that you are well informed of  the importance of adhering to our policy and know the risks associated with this.

Support for Funded Places

We are committed to ensuring childcare remains accessible to all families. For children attending the Together for Two programme, or were previously obtaining the Together for Two funding, seeking a Fully Funded place, we may be able to offer discounted or fully subsided food provision.

Please speak in confidence with your Nursery Manager if you would like to discuss support options.

Tax Free Childcare

We accept all major childcare vouchers & the Government run Tax Free Childcare (TFC) scheme.
The TFC means that for every 80 pence you pay for childcare, the Government will add 20 pence. This is equivalent of the tax most people pay – 20% –which gives the scheme its name,‘tax-free"
