Welcome to millennium minis
Where children laugh, learn and explore our beautiful world
Our Mission
Our mission is to nurture and encourage each child to learn and progress within a supportive environment, with dedicated practitioners that work together to provide a joyful, stimulating and safe world for our children to explore and be themselves.
Our aim is to provide a range of fun and challenging indoor and outdoor activities to assist the children in their development in a warm and welcoming environment. We always strive to excel and adhere to best practice. While children are taught by all educators in a room, each child has a key carer who is the main person responsible for their personal development, well-being and progress.
come and explore our little World
Millennium Minis is a Day Nursery for children from 3 months to 5 years. Minis is a family run nursery group in the heart of the community putting the children we care for at the heart of all that we do.
What does Ofsted say
Millennium Minis is registered with Ofsted, with separate registrations for Lakeside and Riverside, however our nursery is run as one setting and the children benefit from the space and specialist provision we can offer on each site. We are very proud to welcome Ofsted and other professionals into the nursery and at our most recent inspection in July 2023 the inspector reported that:
Children are happy at this friendly and welcoming nursery. The children form good relationships with practitioners and feel safe and secure in their care. They enjoy learning and make good progress. Practitioners follow children’s lead and encourage them to follow their own ideas. Children explore the setting independently and choose their resources from a range of activities that support their interests and development.
Practitioners are positive role models; they speak kindly to each other and give children gentle reminders to say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. Children interact well with each other, and they demonstrate independence and problem-solving skills.
Leaders have clear intentions for what they want children to learn, they support practitioners to implement a curriculum that supports children to become confident, independent and develop their skills in readiness for school, as a result all children progress well.
Practitioners know their key children well. Providing learning experiences that challenge them and develop specific skills to support children to achieve their next steps in learning. There are highly positive partnerships with parents and the support for children’s personal, social and emotional development is strong.
